My father has a tradition of always sending his daughters a bouquet of flowers on Valentines day, no matter where we are. Luv ya Dad.

Taking a break for his cigar
8/52- "The view from here.." is smoky.
It's a rainy day here in Jersey, but that doesn't stop my mysterious neighbor from taking a break to smoke his cuban cigar.

coLor
7/52- "Open your heart..." to color.
I have always loved color and the effect it can have on a picture, or a drawing, or an article of clothing for example...I would like to challenge myself to be open to different colors, especially those that come from a different palette than the one I'm used to painting with.

The ice dancer- week 5
5/52- Muse...
A recent ice storm blew in and left everything frozen, even down to the twigs outside my window. I have grown up dancing and thought the hidden dancer in this picture was a perfect muse for me.

Soothing repetition- week 4
I recently joined a group on flickr and am going to try & post a picture every week, inspired by a theme given from "MCP Project 52." Wish me luck!
4/52-Soothing Repetition
The shadows & soft light of the late afternoon made me think of this weeks theme...

Bat Mitzvah party!
The Bat Mitzvah party I attended over a week ago, was so much fun! I loved the centerpieces and New York theme that they chose. I hope Samantha had a good time and that she enjoyed every minute of it! (I have to admit, I did catch myself start to groove with the music..)

Vermont visit
Right after Christmas, we decided we needed a little get away and decided to go visit my husband's sister in Taftstville, VT. It is a tiny little town close to Woodstock. I fell in love with one of the bridges there, & couldn't seem to get enough pictures of it with Summer and Sampson (which is why there are so many in this post).
We had fun sledding, playing games & warming up by the wood burning stove. It was a nice little get away and might I say, if you ever go visit, you must come home with some of their smoked cheese from the town of Woodstock. Absolutely divine.

I loved this bridge in Taftsville. The curves of it matched that of the Great Dane. Absolutely beautiful.

A night out with my daughter at the Radio City Music Hall! If you ever get the chance to go see the "Christmas Spectacular" they have there, do it!! It is so fun!

Lego Super wall
Gabe and I went into the Lego store in NYC a little while back and gazed at this amazing wall! I think they had everything from car dashboards to dragon scales on that wall! Pretty cool!
