Valentines Postcard, originally uploaded by Casey McDaniel.

My father has a tradition of always sending his daughters a bouquet of flowers on Valentines day, no matter where we are. Luv ya Dad.

Taking a break for his cigar

8/52- "The view from here.." is smoky.

It's a rainy day here in Jersey, but that doesn't stop my mysterious neighbor from taking a break to smoke his cuban cigar.

7/52- "Open your heart..." to color.

I have always loved color and the effect it can have on a picture, or a drawing, or an article of clothing for example...I would like to challenge myself to be open to different colors, especially those that come from a different palette than the one I'm used to painting with.

The ice dancer- week 5

The ice dancer, originally uploaded by Casey McDaniel.

5/52- Muse...
A recent ice storm blew in and left everything frozen, even down to the twigs outside my window. I have grown up dancing and thought the hidden dancer in this picture was a perfect muse for me.

Soothing repetition- week 4

Soothing repetition, originally uploaded by Casey McDaniel.

I recently joined a group on flickr and am going to try & post a picture every week, inspired by a theme given from "MCP Project 52." Wish me luck!

4/52-Soothing Repetition
The shadows & soft light of the late afternoon made me think of this weeks theme...
